Why tutoring?
What is your learning style?
Tutoring can foster confidence and dramatically improve grades. When it comes to Modern Foreign Languages, students might not have many opportunities to practice their Speaking skills. They might also need to brush up on their grammatical knowledge, expand their vocabulary, review some key topics, or maybe they are curious about the culture of the countries where the language is spoken.

My teaching style is dynamic and creative. I ensure my lessons are tailored to the learner's goals, tracking progress and correcting misconceptions.
I can work with the learner's own resources, especially when following a school scheme of work, but I also make use of a range of media: textbooks, worksheets, images, PowerPoints, videos, board games, etc. to ensure engagement.

Through my experiences as a classroom teacher, as well as private one-to-one tutoring, I know each individual learns differently.
Some people are more visual (learning better through images, videos, seeing words), others auditory (learning better through hearing words, singing, spelling words out loud) and others are more kinetic (learning through movement, by writing, moving around, mimes...)

Exam Preparation and Support
Does your child need a little extra help to achieve in their exams? Do they feel stressed at the perspective of taking a test in a foreign language?
As well as improving students' pronunciation and grammar, I can teach exam skills, stress-busting tricks and memory techniques to ensure achivement in Speaking and Writing exams. I can also provide past papers to prepare for Listening and Reading exams.
